Auto Subtitles

Auto Subtitles lets you turn spoken words in your video into styled captions automatically, right on your device.

Note

Auto Subtitles is currently available on iOS only (for now) and requires iOS 18 or later.

How to use

1. Open the video in TrackBlur.
2. Tap the Subtitles tool on the toolbar.
3. Choose the language spoken in the video.
4. Select a visual styling preset and tap Generate.
5. The app transcribes the audio offline and overlays captions onto the timeline.

Style & Edit Captions

You can customize the captions fully:

• Open the subtitle editor to change text color, background color, opacity, font size, and text alignment.
• Enable Spoken word highlighting to highlight each word in real-time as it is spoken.
• Drag the subtitle box to reposition it anywhere on the video player.
• Tap any caption line to correct or edit transcription text manually.

Supported Languages

On-device transcription is powered by Apple's offline speech models. Supported languages and regions typically include:

• English: United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa
• Spanish: Spain, Mexico, United States, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, and most of Latin America
• French: France, Canada, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg
• German: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg
• Italian: Italy, Switzerland
• Portuguese: Brazil, Portugal
• Japanese: Japan
• Chinese: Mandarin (China mainland, Taiwan), Cantonese (Hong Kong, Macau)
• Korean: South Korea
• Polish: Poland
• Dutch: Netherlands, Belgium
• Swedish: Sweden
• Danish: Denmark
• Norwegian: Norway
• Finnish: Finland
• Russian: Russia
• Turkish: Turkey

Note

The exact list of offline speech recognition languages is managed dynamically by Apple. It varies depending on your iPhone model, iOS version, and region. For the most up-to-date and complete list of countries and languages, please refer to the official Apple Feature Availability website.

Tip

Make sure the language you need is enabled under Settings > General > Keyboards on your iPhone, and that Dictation is enabled.
